Plot Bunny!

I got an idea from reading through the first chapter of HBP. And NO, I assure you all that there will be no spoilers contained in this entry.

Anyway, Laura asked last night about pictures, if they're on a loop or if the pictures themselves actually had lives (reading about a picture in the first chapter made me remember it). Then I thought about the old wive's tale that claimes that some of a person's soul is stolen when they get their picture taken. So! I thought of a story. In it, one of the HP characters, not sure who though... gets their picture taken and immediately goes into a coma. When they "wake up" they find themselves looking out a window into a hallway. They then figure out that they are trapped within a picture, because the camera had effectively stolen their soul and when the picture was developed, they "woke up" and are now trapped within said picture. From there, they walk around and try to find ways of getting back within their body. I am currently trying to figure out the victim, a motive (if there is one), a culprit (even if it was an accident), and a solution. That and all those wretched little sub-plots... But yeah, we get to see the world within paintings and get discussions with other painting dwellers about how they got there and if they remember anything before the painting world, such as whether or not they were the subject of the painting or just an idea. The former Head Masters/Mistresses should be enjoyable to write, since they ARE taken from something and have their memories in tact, since they are shadows of what they once were. But everyone else will be a bit more difficult. Or perhaps the other way around, since it'll take a lot of research on former Heads and proper personalities and names for each one. Something tells me I shall be visiting Lexicon a lot if I do write this thing.

Anyway, I typed this here because I'd like opinions on it, even from non-fans if possible. And I typed this here because Mugglenet Interactive Forums seems to be shut down temporarily. Probably so no one can post spoilers.
